Pave the way
Help Us Pave the Way to TRO
Nestled in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Thomas Road Outpost (TRO) is a summer camp where thousands of kids experience Christ’s love through outdoor adventure and Biblical teaching. God provided these 500 acres to give the next generation a space to encounter the Gospel.
But right now, just getting here is a challenge.
A rugged, 2.4-mile unpaved road creates massive logistical hurdles.
We are launching a bold effort to pave the first half-mile stretch leading to the camp. Will you partner with us to clear the path for our campers?
Why give?
Camp Impact: Thousands of campers visit TRO annually, with many supported by "TRO camperships" provided by generous ministry partners.
The Problem: A 2.4-mile stretch of unpaved mountain road creates logistical challenges for getting to the camp during certain times of the year.
The Solution: A new initiative has been launched to pave the mountain road, beginning with the initial half-mile stretch leading directly to the camp entrance.
Financial Goal: The estimated cost to pave this first half-mile is $500,000 due to the difficulty of the job.
